improving mpg
i have a 2010 cc trx4 with a hemi. no in only getting 13.2 13.5 mpg i have 4,000 miles on it now and have already change to synthetic oil with no improvements. i was thinking of getting a 18' mufflex replacement it that would help and a superchips down the road. i know it a big truck but i was hoping for 15 to 16 mpg. i drive 50/50 and dont drive it to hard either. just wondering on others opinions and experience. also what type of gains are you guys seeing with the exhaust and superchip upgrades.

Putzing with the exhaust and chipping isn't likely to help. Might want to try a chunk of 2x4 under the gas pedal Or if you are not jumping on it constantly then take it in to the dealer and see if they can figure out why your milage is so bad. I get around 15-16 in mixed driving and 19-20 on the highway. 13 is what I get when towing 4000lbs on the highway at 65MPH.

the 13.2mpg was by hand and the computer said the same thing it is usually no more than 0.5 mpg off from hand figures. i really dont drive had as i like to see how good of mpg i cam get and always watching my mpg real time bar to keep it has high as a can. i did go a one road trip to ct and i was getting 19-20 mpg it even stayed up there above 18mpg when we where driving around in town for 3 days but it was flat up there not as hilly as pa. i just feel that i should at least be hitting in the 15's when i fill up my DTE reads 410-430 miles. i wounder if there are any rrt that would affect my mpg at all i know there was one for mds but i thought it was for 09's. it just sucks my dad 98 2500 360 is getting better mpg than me.

I've done a e-fan, cai, programmer, exhaust on my 2006 ram and saw minimal improvements in mpg. After a while I noticed I was spending a lot of money on "mileage improvements." Eventually you'll spend so much money trying to improve your gas mileage you'll begin to realize you could've spent that money on gas! I would just do a cai, programmer, and exhaust and save the rest of your money for gas.
Just remember, you do have a 4WD truck that weighs in excess of 5400 lbs with a 390hp 5.7L V-8. By comparison, trucks ~15 years ago had engines that averaged almost half of that power and still got worse gas mileage.
