New 4.7L Flex Fuel V8 with Electronic Throttle Control - HP/Torque Ratings

2008 Dakota:
302 hp @ 5,650 rpm / 329 lb-ft of torque @ 3,950 rpm

2008 Aspen: 303 hp @ 5,650 rpm / 330 lb-ft of torque @ 3,950 rpm

2008 Durango: 303 hp @ 5,650 rpm / 330 lb-ft of torque @ 3,950 rpm

2008 Grand Cherokee: 305 hp @ 5,650 rpm / 334 lb-ft of torque @ 3,950 rpm

2008 Commander: 305 hp @ 5,650 rpm / 334 lb-ft of torque @ 3,950 rpm

2008 Ram: 310 hp @ 5,650 rpm / 329 lb-ft of torque @ 3,950 rpm

Yup. It's actually already Flex Fuel....that started with the '07 version.

The HP/TQ numbers, if they're right, are even higher than they originally posted. That's awesome. I wish I could've waited to buy my Dakota.

Finally they make the 4.7 respectable. But now its almost too little too late.

Yea I see that on the back of the cars, I just didnt see anything about it on the new engine.

Without a fuel economy change in addition that hp change the 4.7L is still worthless, it's still lower hp/torquewhile getting worse fuel economy than the 5.7L.

Yes but you have to pay 1000-1600 more for a hemi. SO are 25 horses worth that kind of dough?
