Tire foam to clean Engine?
I hear that tire foam sprayed on the engine, to clean the grime, is the best thing to use. Anybody done this before? How well did it work for you?
I'm willing to try on a warmer day, it needs a good cleaning. Sorry, if this has been asked before. I did a search and nothing came up.
-thanks.

RE: Tire foam to clean Engine?
That is my secret to keeping my engine clean . It'll attract dust, but not right away, it stays clean for quite a while! Just make sure you at least wipe it off after a while....but keeps the hoses perfect(no cracking will ever occur) and the plastics shiny! Just don't spray directly onto your alternator and you're set. But I've been using tire foam on my engine bay for the last 4 years....

If you have access to a steam cleaner that works wonders ....
If not then either Purple power full strength spray on a warm enginns let sit ,scrub any really dirty areas ..Carefully spray it off with water be SURE to keep it from electrical parts/harnesses ...
If not purple power try Engine Brite foaming degreaser ... Same way

RE: Tire foam to clean Engine?
I didn't use the foam but, I cleaned this engine today with a pressure washer, engine degreaser, paint thinner(be very cautious), 400 grit sandpaper, mothers mag aluminum polish, armorall tire shine, and some microfiber rags...

edit... btw it hadn't been cleaned in 100k miles of me owning the truck... it looked like it was dipped in grease and then rolled in dirt.
