[4th Gen : 01-07]: no crank no start only hot buzzing from leak detector

no crank no start only hot buzzing from leak detector
checked fuses, relays, replaced starter, checked all grounds, have lights, all connections to computer and body computer look good.
with key on- jumped starter relay- turns over but no start
relays click in PCM-asd clicks too
only does it when hot or temp is above 18 Celsius
always starts when cold- may start several times when using van but eventually will not turn over
when it does this- the leak detector unit has a weird buzzing noise coming from it- disconnect it- makes no difference. remove fuse for fuel pump- noise stops
leave it until it cools at night- starts right up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
never stalls when hot
looked on net- found no symptoms for this one!!!!
help- thinking PCM-ugh!!

Pull the starter relay and see if you're getting 12vdc at contact 86 on the starter relay socket when you turn the key to start. If that's good you're probably not getting the ground to the starter relay from the PCM. That could be caused by a bad PCM, a Transmission Range Sensor in the transmission not telling the PCM the van is in park or the alarm system has a problem. Course there's always that pesky possibility of a wiring problem.
These relays rarely fail but wouldn't hurt to swap the starter relay with another identical to it on panel. IPM is a known corrosion magnet check connections. Consider dismantling it and inspect the internal circuit boards.

ok- it's been h*ll to get the wife's van to run. checked and stripped all wiring covers of every harness in engine bay, checked connectors- you name it- all good. soooo next was to replace BCM-$20.00- no go, skim module-free, no go, towed to local dealer- $165.00 later- they say BCM not communicating- I told them that already- they say try a new one at $1400.00 and not sure if that will fix it!!!! towed it home again- $60.00 x two trips!!!
then went to a large auto yard and for $150.00 got BCM, PCM, skim module ( ya need this to get work! )and keys with transponder in it!!
fired right up for first time since this first post.
so PCM was the culprit in all the troubles as I first thought due to the gas detector buzzing- it is controlled by the PCM.
hope this helps someone else as any other post( very few on net ) gave a reply in what was the final result- bet most just scrapped the van!!!!
note: you must get all goodies from same van- also check to see if you have same options as your van.
