Dodge ChargerThe Dodge Charger. The car that made its competitors shiver in the 60's is reborn in 2006 into a sleek sedan that can still send the competition home wimpering, the Dodge Charger.
Igot my charger late in 2013 and after 9 months I had noticed a shake in the brakesafter 10 minutes of aggressive highway driving. It doesn't always happen butevery once in a while. Now I just overlooked it seeing I was justbeing aggressive but I was wondering if, being still under warranty thereis a problem that should be looked at by Dodge. or Isit just how they are, seeing that it doesn't always happen and I should lookinto better set of pads and rotors for better performance when drivingaggressively.
addedif the latter when should I go with ... THANKS
You have warped the rotors and, those are not covered by the warranty unless you can prove defects in material and workmanship. Brake components are considered normal "wear" items not covered by your warranty, or at least not without a lot of headache convincing them they should be.
But would a warped rotor only act up under very high heat conditions but not in normal driving (heat) conditions?
Also if that is the case do you recommend any "better than Factory" replacements I should look into
The hotter they get the more pronounced the warping will be. Powerstop, brakeperformance, brembo, hawk. Plenty of high performance brake systems out there. Depends on how deep your pockets are.
not super deep as brembo, I looking for a good set of rotors and bake pads. I heard Hawk are great pad and I will lean to those but as for rotors I am in the dark.
Thanks for all the help
