New and Have a sweet old 88 Shelby Z
A big hello to everyone here. I hope to get to know some of you well, ecspecially over the next six months. Here's the story Im getting back the car I learned to drive on. My parents old 88 Dodge Daytona Shelby Z with only 93000 miles. Basically I'm getting a great deal on it so that I can finally put my Mustang GT in storage for the winter. I havn't driven the Daytona in years, but I remember tearing sh*% up back in the day!!! I raced a lot of cars with that beast and rarely lost. I'd love to get her back up to par and then some, give the ricers an awakening at the street lights by an 88 sleeper only few knew of. She needs work cosmetically and I'm sure could use a "pick me up under the hood". I know I can handle most of the exterior. But under the hood and mopar knowledge, I could use some coaching on this. Of course I am under budget, but hopefully there are some inexpensive fixes. To everyone that responds, I will be responsive and post pictures as soon as I get down there, which will be Nov 5. Thanks, and lets see what we can make. Regards

Hello Dodgegirl,
Yeah after doing a search on Shelby stuff I noticed you were in on a dual Shelby buy for a V8 install. Well again thanks for the welcome. Your an administrator here, so I'm guessing that you really know your stuff. Please tell me where to start. Thanks

It's going well. I have the correct new turbo now. We believe the valve spring is making the noise in the engine. It's loose enough to move when the engine is off. The A/C system is totally removed. Head Gasket is waiting to go on...
I have to sell this other brand new turbo and I don't know who I can sell it to. I don't know much about it. Just that it's oil cooled. Eh... ooh well... I just hate losing money buy having a part I won't use.

I've had two Shelby Z's, both an '87 and an '88. There are quite a few good places for mods for your Shelby Z. Here is a list of a few links to these places:
