Doors won't unlock
So I purchased a 2009 dodge Jouney and love it. It started off good then one day the doors wouldn't unlock except the driver door. Then it sit for a while and they'd unlock. Now the three doors or back hatch won't unlo at all. Anyone no why this is? And how to fix? Dealer said its $100 just to diagnose the issue. Even if the don't find the problem..😨

First thing you want to do is reset the TIPM (computer)
by having the car battery disconnected at the negative
jumper position for about 10-15 minutes, reconnect and
try locks again.
Secondly if you are the original owner did you have the TIPM to cabin
wiring loom repaired per Chryslers Technical service bulletin or did the previous
owner have it done.
You can have this done by dealer or goto Dodge.Com and entering
your VIN number.

Tacsha,
You can also obtain recall information by following this link (http://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/dodge/Recall.html) and entering your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN #).
All recalls must be completed at a Dodge dealer.

Also if I locked the car from inside using the driver or passenger door button, then I could unlock the other doors if I waited for 10 seconds or more before pressing unlock again.
However I managed to fix this by doing a computer reset by inserting the key in to the ignition, then switch between -acc and -on : 3 times and on the 3rd switch to on hold.
now wait for the message : -done- as seen here:

Now all the doors work as expected from the fob and the door panel button.
I hope this can help you or someone else reading this.
Ignore this, it's started doing it again 😞
Did you manage to get your car fixed?
Thanks,
Gavin

Hi Tacsha, I just bought a 2010 Dodge Journey and had a similar issue. If I locked the car and left it for a long period of time I could open all doors with the fob. However if I used the car then I could only open the drivers door no matter how many times I pressed the button on the fob.
