^doncline55, most of us run the 5.9 or 6.7 Cummins in regards to this poll. I doubt we have much advice for your gasser. Check with the 3rd gen section for advice on your 4.7. K.

My 1st fill on my 2014, hand calcs gave me around 16 with mixed driving. EVIC stated closer to 19 Avg. After fill-up, drove 180+ miles mostly highway and EVIC reported 23 Avg.

Default Averaging 23.2 mpg

2014 RAM3500 crew long bed. SWR, 3.42 axle ratio, auto, 4wd. Stock. This is the average for 13,500 miles. Includes idling, trailer pulling. Best MPG is 28 on a texas run from new jersey. The worst is 13 running her hard and heavy. No additive. Use blue DEF. She has a sweet spot. If you keep there MPG is great. Drops quickly on either side. Need a light foot.

Overall average since I bought the truck in Aug. 2014 is at 19.3 mpg. If I stay around town I'll get about 18.5. My best tank was 24.3 which was on a trip from Florida to NY...

see sig for truck info, i do have 4.11 gears also.

My average in town is 15.5 to 16.5, and 17.5 to 19.5 highway depending on how flat it is. That is deleted on the stock tune. If i turn it up to "fuel economy" I get about 1.5 MPG more, and levels above that it drops back down to stock levels because i cant keep my foot out of it!

18.3 mpg (at 60 mph on the highway) with a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 2dr Reg Cab 140.5" WB 4WD SLT 5.9L 6 speed manual with 4:10 gears.
I'm a little surprised that speed or driving habits and terrain are not discussed in this thread.

Default Fuel mileage

Took a road trip with the 33ft travel trailer weighing 10,400 dry so I'm probably at around 12,000ish pounds. (Guessing)
Towing through New Mexico, flat land was at around 18.5MPG. Hitting the hills dropping under 10, 8/8.5.
Empty doing 25 at times without much throttle.
Typically reads overhead around 14 when I fill up at half tank for average.
2006 2500HD Mega Cab 5.9 Cummins 133,000 miles. Lucas white bottle periodically using it religiously on the road trip. zK&N intake. Supertuner set at "performance/tow"
The tuner set at "mileage" was getting the 25-28MPG on a straight shot.
