2013 Dodge Dart Configurator Goes Online

Window shoppers take note. Dodge has officially released an online configurator for the people who just can’t wait to get their hands on the new Dart. But be warned, Dodge has said that the features and prices aren’t final, and will likely change several times before the car’s release in the second quarter of 2012.

They’re using the data from the configurator as a sort of test bed to “provide us with information on how you want to see the all-new Dart.” Which in reality is another way of saying, “tell us what you want to buy so we can make it.”  It will have tons of options as our friends NewCarTestDrive explain:

Dodge is betting that customization will be a big part of the Dart’s appeal. The sport compact will reportedly be available in 100,00 combinations between multiple trim levels, exterior colors, wheel choices, interior options and Mopar aftermarket accessories. At launch the Dart will be available in five trims: the base SE, SXT, Ralley, Limited and RT. Standard on all trims is a reconfigurable digital instrument panel. Other features either standard or optional depending on trim level include Bluetooth, power accessories, dual-zone climate control, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen.

They don’t allow you to completely mix and match though, as my attempt to build an orange Dart with lime green interior piping was soundly thwarted.
