Mopar & Dodge Dominate 2018 Carlisle Truck Nationals
Between monster trucks, burnout contests and the showfield, Dodge & Mopar showed no mercy at the Carlisle Pennsylvania Fairgrounds.
Truck enthusiasts from far and wide traveled to the Carlisle Pennsylvania Fairgrounds for the annual Carlisle Truck Nationals show, August 3-5. Now more than 10 years strong, the truck show had one of its largest attendance this year. Being just outside Philadelphia, east cost enthusiasts brought forth a show that raises the bar for the rest of the country.
With more than three days of action, there was plenty to do. Monster trucks Bad News and Samson did their best to smash over obstacles and cars. Another monster truck, Virginia Giant, was giving thrill rides to show participants to experience car crushing action first hand. Truck action didn’t stop with the giant tire behemoths, as tire shredding and burnout contests then allowed the attendees to have some smokey fun of their own.
That same arena with crushed cars then saw some awesome freestyle motorcross action and even a Timberworks Lumberjack show. But what we really enjoyed taking a peek at was the showfield with trucks and rigs galore.
Square body Dodge trucks all the way through newer RAM rigs were on display in the show field for Mopar. Styles of all sorts including lifted trucks, chrome customs, slammed trucks and more were there for your fill of eye candy. Even the new Ram 1500 Limited was on display for everyone to get familiar with.
Big rigs were well represented too, and added to the reason why the Carlisle Truck Nationals is so cool. Part of that aspect of the show also had job applications and job recruiters.
Dates for next year’s are already in place, with the 2019 show happening August 2-4. In the mean, check out some of the sweet Dodge rides that were at the show. Have a favorite? Let us know which one. For more details, visit Carlisle Events.
