Charger Proves Going Grey Isn’t Such a Bad Thing

rendering of wide body gloss grey Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat

3D render of a destroyer grey SRT Charger makes it wide and low, and while it may not be real, the car it’s based on certainly is.

We certainly have seen plenty of evidence that 3D graphic designers are capable of some pretty mental car designs. More often than not, the images they produce make you question whether the car is real or not. However, this instance takes that a step further.

We have featured 3D Render Artists Timothy Adry Emmanuel previously because his Instagram account is a virtually endless supply of awesome looking cars. While most of his vehicles stem from generic examples of models, this particular Charger is based on an actual car owned by another Instagram user, whose name is not linked to his account.

A quick look at the owner’s Instagram account, and you’ll notice this SRT Charger really isn’t all that different from the real one. Save for, of course, the widebody. Though it does have the same wheels in real life, it appears the render shows them widened. But the wing, roof spoiler, hood, and rear diffuser all match the real deal. Render technology is pretty impressive. This could be a great way to preview some modifications you’ve considered doing to your car.

Speaking of which, Emmanuel asks in his post if the owner of the car should go wide body. We certainly think so! Though his Charger already looks fantastic, this would take it up a notch. Not everyone loves the look of bolt-on body parts. However, the super-wide arches and side skirts on the iconic four-door Charger looks phenomenal. Especially so with the now discontinued Destroyer Grey paint job. Additionally, the rose gold finish on these wheels compliments the simplistic grey finish perfectly in both real life and the renders.

Whether or not you’re a fan of widebody, there’s a good chance you’ll run across plenty of images you’ll like on Emmanuel’s Instagram account. He renders everything from classic muscle to rat rods.

Overall, this car is awesome in both digital and real-world contexts. We sincerely hope the owner will consider situating a widebody kit, though. It’s too good looking to pass up.
