Crazy 1996 Dodge Viper Limo Is 25 Feet Long, Costs $160K

Viper Limo

Do you love the Dodge Viper but hate the fact that you can only take one passenger? This Dodge Viper Limo might be for you.

We saw the ad and then looked at our calendar. We reviewed the ad again, and again consulted our nearest calendar. Yup, that is an ad for a 25-foot long 1996 Dodge Viper limo for $160,000. And nope, it is not April 1. The Viper limo is listed on Facebook Marketplace and seems to reside somewhere in Missouri. And as far as we can tell this is the only Dodge Viper limo in the world. So, if you are collector of things unique then this could be for you.

The ad doesn’t contain a lot of information about the build. We assume the stock 8.0L V10 remains. And from the limited pictures provided, the build does appear to look fairly clean and professional. It doesn’t look like someone was just turned loose with a Sawzall.

Of course, there is no hiding the fact that nearly ten feet were added to the overall length to accommodate two extra seats. There is also no hiding from the elements. There is not any top for either the front or rear occupants. So, if you are taking this Viper on a cruise, you better be sure there is no chance of rain.

What’s the Upside?

Is there an upside to doing this to a 1996 Viper? Well, we don’t know the state of the donor car. Perhaps it was a salvage car, and the owner was looking to do something fun with it. We like to think that no one cut up a perfectly good 1996 Viper. It does say in the ad that this would be great for getting your business noticed as a rolling advertisement.

And there is no question that it will turn heads out on the road. Even in the limo world this would stand out among a row of Cadillac and Mercedes limousines. It could also be used for parades. Not only could the parade Grand Marshal ride around in the back waving to the crowd. But the car comes with a removable trailer hitch that was fabricated for it to tow parade floats.

We Gotta Ask

The ad asks for serious inquires only through messenger. Well, we have a serious inquiry. Why would anyone spend $160,000 on what is essentially a ruined Viper? Sure, there are some possible upsides as we called out previously. But did the world really need this? For the same money you could buy a very nice example of a stock 1996 Dodge Viper and a brand-new Ram TRX for when you need more space and want to get a little work done.

Will It Sell?

The Viper limo ad has only been up for a few days. But as the seller promised it is getting a lot of attention. Will that attention turn into bona fide offers? This does look like a quality job that likely was not cheap. Will the seller get close to the $160K asking price?

If you bought this car, what would you do with it? Head over to the Dodge Forum forums and share with us what you would do with the only Dodge Viper limo in the world.
