Dodge Blows Everyone’s Mind (Again): The Hellcat is a Performance Bargain
Another day, another awesome piece of news from Ma Mopar. It just announced the pricing for its new terrifyingly awesome tire shredding monster, and it’s way less than you’d think.
It’s only $59,900!
Jalopnik got the tip from a picture that leaked out of the press event going on right now with the Hellcat. The picture shows Dodge’s own price comparison between the Hellcat, the Shelby Mustang GT500, and both the Camaro ZL1 and Z/28.
I wrote about the Hellcat when Dodge released the quarter mile times a few days ago and I said that Dodge had pulled off one of the biggest coups this year with this car, now with the price leaking, I can now honestly say that they have pulled off the biggest coup this year. 707hp, a quarter mile time in the 10s, enough torque to restart the Earth’s core, and for just under $60,000! That is just plain ridiculous. And awesome! I know everyone here is trying to figure out if we can pool our money together to get one. And that I’m going to do everything in my power to try and snag a ride, but I have a feeling the line is going to be epically long. You can download the full press release here.
