Dodge Charger Pursuit Build Gets Full Exterior Makeover
Dodge Charger Pursuit has undergone a total physical transformation before becoming an all-wheel-drive Hellcat of sorts.
The law enforcement-focused Dodge Charger Pursuit has been around for quite a few years now, and has proven quite popular in that fleet-focused part of the world for some very good reasons. With Ford discontinuing the Crown Victoria years ago, that left the Charger as their sole sedan of choice, after all, which is a body style that many police prefer. That also means there are plenty of retired Dodge Charger Pursuit models out there ripe for the picking, and we saw the folks at Atlantic Beach Customs build a pretty cool one just a few months ago. Now, they’re back with yet another one.
In this new video, ABC is focused squarely on improving one particular area of this Dodge Charger Pursuit – the exterior. They have some big plans for the build in the longer term, such as installing some various aftermarket parts and slapping a Hellcat supercharger on its V8 powerplant, but for now, it’s all about making this thing look less like a cop car and more like a street thumping, all-wheel-drive custom.
In a previous video, ABC documented the installation of a widebody kit on this Dodge Charger Pursuit, which automatically amplifies its appearances, and now, it’s time to do some finishing work before applying a new vinyl wrap to those surfaces. The first order of business is to plug all of the holes left behind where police equipment used to be installed, and after that’s completed, we get to see the satin blue wrap being applied to its flanks, which is complemented by a pair of gloss black stripes running the length of the car.
In addition to that color change, this Charger Pursuit is also being treated to a bevy of body parts including a carbon roof spoiler, trunk spoiler, side skirts, door handles, a front lip, a rear diffuser, and mirror caps, along with smoked lenses, to boot. The wheels came straight off a widebody Challenger and fit perfectly, giving this Pursuit more of a custom civilian look than anything else.
Ultimately, however, the goal here is to build what’s essentially an all-wheel-drive Hellcat, meaning that there’s still some work to be done. ABC already has a Hellcat blower sitting in the garage that’s ready to be installed, and we’re certainly looking forward to seeing this thing doing some four-wheel burnouts in the near future.
