Dodge Releases Special Blacked Out, Sinister-looking RAM Trims
RAM 1500 ‘Black Edition’ and RAM Heavy Duty ‘Night Edition’ feature black wheels and badging, adding some mean style from the factory.
Many people love to modify their brand new trucks, and black badging and wheels are a hot commodity for a lot of individuals. Why not, right? It adds a mean and angry style to just about anything you do it to. Dodge took notice of this fact and is now cutting out the middle man.
At the Texas State Fair, Dodge unveiled two new limited edition RAM models. The RAM 1500 Black edition, and the RAM Heavy Duty Night Edition. Both trucks feature the awesome looking black badging, wheels, grille inserts, and head and taillight trims, and are available with various options.
The RAM 1500 Black Edition comes standard on 22-inch gloss black wheels and a black tonneau cover over the bed. It is available with the 3.0-liter diesel V6, 5.7-liter V8, and 3.6-liter V6 with the eTorque mild hybrid system. Additionally, you can choose between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive platforms. It is also available with four-corner air suspension offering five different ride height choices, allowing you to dial in your perfect ride across all terrains. The starting price for this limited edition model is $53,690, and availability begins in the third quarter of 2019.
Perhaps the 1500 isn’t quite enough of a powerhouse for you. Enter the Heavy Duty Night Edition. It features the same black accents as the Black Edition 1500 but features the beloved Cummins inline six-cylinder or the 6.4-liter HEMI V-8. It also is available in both rear and all-wheel drive platforms. Furthermore, it’s available in both 2500 and 3500 trims, with the option of either the Crew Cab or Mega Cab.
The Super Duty rides on 20-inch black wheels, save for the dually models, which have 17-inch wheels with machined pockets. The Super Duty Night Edition starts at $37,995 and will begin shipping during the fourth quarter of 2019.
Both trucks are available with the standard RAM options. Such as the lighted and lockable RamBox cargo management system with adjustable tie-down cleats and bed divider, and the innovative Multifunction Tailgate.
Overall, both trucks make an excellent addition to the RAM Fleet.
