Monster-size Mod Gives Ram Truck a Tough & Functional Facelift

Fab Fours' "Grumper" front end.

The brainchild of Fab Fours out of North Carolina, the ‘Grumper’ is a bumper, winch, and grille all in one.

Let’s say you’re prepping your Ram for serious off-road duty. You’ve got to find a bumper with a good approach angle. Then, you’ll need to find a good winch to get you out of any jams. Finally, you might need to make some cosmetic changes to the big crosshair grille to make sure it all fits together.

Or, you could get a Grumper.

No, we didn’t just make that word up. Off-road Xtreme did a story recently on The Grumper, which is the brainchild of Fab Fours, a truck bumper and accessory manufacturer out of Charlotte, North Carolina. On top of looking impressively tough, the Grumper is a combination bumper, grille, and winch. And while it looks best on Ram trucks, it’s also available for Fords, Nissans, Toyotas, GMs, and even Jeeps.

The steel unit made its debut at the 2017 SEMA show in Las Vegas, causing quite a stir in the process. As it gears up for the upcoming 2018 show, Fab Fours is giving a Grumper away for a JL Wrangler. So if your brand new Jeep is already crying out for modding, this could be the answer to your prayers.

We’ve seen plenty of aggressive front end aftermarket treatments. But few look as cool – and even fewer are as functional – as the Grumper. And thanks to their customizable nature and interchangeable grille inserts, it’s still easy to make this one-piece unit look unique. We’re looking forward to what Fab Fours has planned for this year’s SEMA. Until then, once you’ve entered the giveaway, be sure to check out what other goodies Fab Four has to offer.
