Hellcat Stage Kits are Finally Here!

Hellcat Stage Kit

Hellcat stage kits are now CARB compliant and will offer increased power while still retaining your factory warranty.

We are all a little power obsessed. You are on the Dodge Forum for a reason. That reason is likely that you know Dodge does things a bit different. They build bold, brash, powerful vehicles that other automakers seem scared to make. But there are those among us that crave even more power regardless of how much Dodge gives us from the factory. The problem is the powerful Dodge cars are expensive. And many folks don’t have the appetite to modify a six-figure car for fear of voiding the warranty. But Dodge has the answer with their Hellcat stage kits available through Direct Connection. These kits give a power boost but retain the factory warranty. Win-win. These kits have been promised for a while but they took longer than expected to achieve CARB compliance. That is finally done, and the kits are about to ship.

That is the good news. The bad news is that the first kits available have limited applications. They are only for the 2019 – 2022 model year Challenger Hellcat and Challenger Hellcat Redeye. No Charger Hellcat stage kits, and nothing for the 392 cars. Also, nothing for the 2018 and older models or the 2023 models. So, it is a limited offering right now. But additional kits are expected for the other applications. We just don’t know when. In the meantime, for those that do own cars that these kits will work with, it is time to rejoice. A video was recently posted on the Racer X YouTube channel that details each of these kits. We are sharing those details with you here.

The Challenger Hellcat and Hellcat Redeye kits differ a bit so we will cover them separately. First the Hellcat kit. To start you need the Pre-stage kit. It retails for $1,195. For the money you get a cold air intake, a new air filter, a 180-degree thermostat, and a tuner to mount inside. Power-wise you are only looking at about 5 HP bump with the pre-stage kit. But it allows you to step up to the Stage 1 kit. That is another $1,195. You get a 3.17 pulley that provides 2 more pounds of boost, and will get you to 757 HP on 100+ octane fuel. Run 93 octane and you will not make quite so much power.

If you have a Redeye the stages are a bit different. You still need the $1,195 pre-stage kit. Then for just $395 you can go to Stage 1. For that you get additional software calibration. Now instead of 797 HP you can make 840 HP. But getting that number does require 100+ octane fuel. Stage 2 on the Redeye costs $1,195 and you don’t have to pay for Stage 1 first. You can go directly from the pre-stage kit to a stage 2 kit. With the stage 2 you get the same 3.17 pulley you get with the stage 1 kit for the regular Hellcat. But now with 100+ octane fuel you are making 885 HP. On 93 octane you are around 837 HP.

How To Get One

Power Broker

The kits are being shipped to Dodge Power Broker dealers. To find the Power Broker dealer nearest you click HERE. If you are interested in these Hellcat stage kits, we recommend contacting the dealer sooner than later. Like a lot of things these days, these will likely be in limited supply. These kits are a great way to make more power, keep your warranty and remain legal from an emissions perspective. Tough to beat that deal.
