When Dodge set out on their current trajectory, they knew they had what it took to dominate the drag strip. Since the release of the Demon, they’ve comfortably sat atop the mountain of American Muscle. But Dodge hasn’t stopped with just the Demon. We’ve got all sorts of packages to flex with and the Redeye Hellcat is here to prove it belongs.

For those not already familiar, in this clip, we see the Dodge Demon in (what appears to be) Pitch Black lining up against the Redeye Hellcat in Hellraisin purple.
After warming up the tires, the pair line up and prepare to peel some rubber. After the tree count, the two racers speed down the track. I’ll spare you the poetics, the Demon wins.
But you might find it surprising just how close the Redeye Hellcat keeps it. The final tally puts the Demon at a 10.172 sec 1/4 mile @ 135.51 mph. The Hellcat, just behind it, racks up a 10.525 sec 1/4 mile @ 133.75 mph. Considering the Demon’s reputation, this was remarkably close.
