3g ram under dash lights 600

While the 3rd generation Dodge Ram comes with interior lighting, it isnt all that bright and while these lights can guide you and your passengers safely in and out of the truck –they don’t provide much help for hunting for things under the seats or dash.  I have dropped something on the floor while driving my 3g Ram and when I turned on the interior lights, they lighting around my feet wasn’t bright enough for me to find what I dropped.

Fortunately, DF member JoshuaAckley put together a great DIY of how to install super bright LEDs under the dash of the 3rd gen Dodge Ram and best of all, his system of hooking up these lights allows you to operate them with the factory dimmer switch.  This means that your Ram will light up inside when you open the doors, when you turned on the dome light with the rolling switch on the dash and whenever you unlock the doors with the key fob.  In other words, these lights are much brighter (and in this case much more styling with the blue hue) than the stock lights – but they will function like they came in your Ram from the factory.

So whether you are looking for some added personalization with bright colored lights in the footwells or if you just want better visibility on the floor of your truck – this 3rd gen Ram DIY is for you!  Click here for a closer look!
