Vin Diesel Gets a 1,650-HP Charger for His Birthday and We’re Jealous
Speedkore’s prized classic Charger is most likely one of the best Dodge builds of all time and makes for an incredible gift.
Many of us grew up watching The Fast and The Furious franchise and falling in love with the cars and the characters. For some of us, the movies might have been what sparked our original interest in cars to begin with. Dominic Toretto, who is played by superstar Vin Diesel in the film, is known to have a love for simple and fast American muscle cars. However, if you thought that the character shared no similarities with Vin in the real world, you are surely mistaken.
Director Justin Lin decided to throw a little birthday bash for Vin while filming the latest Fast & Furious movie (the ninth installment in the series) and his gift was nothing short of amazing. Thanks to the Fast Family YouTube channel, we are able to take a better look at this beautiful 1970 Dodge Charger built by none other than Speedkore.
This car wouldn’t be the first occasion that Speedkore has worked with a big name celebrity to build a bad-ass car. You can check out a previous article here on the forums were they built WWE champion and wrestling icon, Bill Goldberg, a 1000 HP Dodge Demon. As you might have already understood, high-power MOPAR builds is what Speedkore does and does well.

They also specialize heavily in carbon-fiber and this 1970 Charger is no exception. Every single body panel on the vehicle is made completely out of carbon-fiber.
The interior is completely bespoke as well, resulting in an extremely elegant combination of carbon fiber, custom CNC aluminum panels, and fine upholstered leather. The engine is a completely custom-built Mercury Racing V8 with a whopping 9.0 liters of displacement, quad cams and 1650 HP thanks to the help of two very healthy sized turbochargers.
This built is kind of the classic muscle car of dreams and its reputation is representative of that. It has been featured on Jay Leno’s Garage, where it has its own episode. In 2015 back when it was original built, it won Best Domestic at the SEMA show. As a result, we couldn’t be more jealous of Vin and his newfound ownership as the car. If anybody wants to give us a similar gift over here at Dodge Forum, we will gladly accept. Enjoy the car Vin, you deserve it.
