Widebody Hellcat Charger Is Clearly Made to Impress
Instagram artist brings us a ferocious widebody Hellcat Dodge Charger that isn’t afraid to show off what’s under the hood.
We are certainly not strangers to highly-modified Hellcats here at Dodge Forum. From 1,000 horsepower monsters to show-ready stance builds, the Hellcat community has it all. Still, sometimes something comes to our attention that we couldn’t have seen coming. Ironically, in this case, it’s what we do see that is a surprise. Most of the time, a car’s hood has to be open to get a good look at its powerplant. Not this Charger, though.
Notorious Instagram graphic artist Al Yasid is a talented individual. This graphic render of a wide and low Hellcat Charger is really all you need to see to back up that sentiment. He has a knack for making things look very real. If you were passively scrolling through Instagram, you’d never know that this isn’t a real car. Let’s dive in, shall we?
Proof Is in the Plexiglass
The most outstanding feature of this widebody Charger is the hood. While a hood isn’t often the center of attention of a car, this one catches the eye immediately. It’s an interesting concept, for sure. The plexiglass or similar material hood allows Instagram users to see the 700 horsepower brute parked beneath it without more than a casual glance. While we can’t imagine this would be easy to pull off in real life, it would undoubtedly make you the star of local car shows. We’re just getting started, though.
If the hood doesn’t get your attention, the wide stance certainly should. Complimenting its wide fenders is a set of staggered-width Govad forged wheels. The chrome barrels reflecting light drags your attention right to them. Of course, they are wrapped in a beautiful set of grippy tires. You’ll need it, too, based on the contact-patch due to the negative camber shown in the images. Let’s be honest, though, this type of build isn’t exactly suited for the track.
Stylish Widebody from Front to Back
Its lack of track application does not stop the race-inspired design work, though. The aggressive aero works its way from front to back. Upfront, an aggressive splitter kisses the ground. Complimenting it are a full set of winglets on the front and rear bumpers, guiding air right where you’d want it.
The rear, too, is dressed quite nicely. The ducktail spoiler appears to be made of a similar material the hood uses. Additionally, finishing off the ground effects is a rear diffuser. Whether or not a car sees time on a track, you can’t help but get excited to see something with all the appropriate racecar bits fitted up nicely.
While we can appreciate the widebody and low scene doesn’t suit everyone’s style, we couldn’t look away. Even if you aren’t a fan of the style, you have to appreciate the artistry behind these renderings. It’s always fun to see what goes on inside someone’s head. It’s especially exciting when that person is as talented as Yasid. We highly recommend giving his Instagram a follow and checking out all of his other excellent designs.
