Default 95 dodge avenger won't start

I just purchased a 95 dodge avenger with 169000 miles on it. It has a valve leak and I took it to the car wash to clean the engine to be sure. It started when I left the carwash but would not start the next morning. The fuel pump comes on and the starter turns over but will not run.Have I shorted something out or should I let it dry out first? It as been drying for about one day now.

I'd guess you wetted something you should not have ... Either the Computer or distributor ... I'd check and see if you have spark then work from there

Welcome to DF Venice73.

Did you, or the car wash worker, cover the distributor cap, computers, relays, battery, and other things that aren't supposed to get wet in the engine bay? My guess, something shorted out or is shorting out. A day in 75+ degree summer can help, but not a day below 75.
Follow BV's advice and let us know where you stand after that.
