Default break lights and ABS

ok a 95 avenger's break lights wont turn off and i know that there is a lever or switch under the pedal and a little black piece is supposed to trigger the lights to go off ...... but while driving home the ABS light came on and i dont think there is supposed to be a connection in that situation.
am i wrong? is there something im missing ?

please help.

Yoiur brake LIGHT switch is triggered by the pedals ... It's likely bad if the brake lights are on constantly ...
The ABS light is showing troubles in the ABS , both are unrelated ...

The ABS sensors are on the backside of the hubs and they are on all four corners. Hopefully, you didn't accidentally damage one of them by pulling on the signal wire bro.

It's easiest to get it scanned for codes on the brake system ... It's normally either the sensor or the ABS ECU unit ... Sensor look at the wires one of mine got hit by something off the road I guess and cut them I spliced it and it was OK ... MY ABS unit went out onse and it was a $40 part at the junkyard
