Grinding noise from rims.
I bought me some new rims the other day (18's). They had my car jacked up and they back rims where fine. When they put the front one's on they wouldnt spin. It was pushed up against the caliper keepin it from moving. So I went to get some spacers. I got them put on. Now the rims can spin but they are grindin a little. What can i do to get this noise to stop?
THANKS, RON

It's pretty obvious that there is STILL a clearance problem you'll have to find out what's hitting the rim and see what can be done ...
Check the Calipers , Inner A arm top inside ... and outside fender well lip ...

I WOULD NOT add washers ... the wheels need a FLAT seat to properly seat ... Adding the washers will push the wheels out but will not support the wheels properly AND can damage the lugs if you MUST try it put them BEHIND the spacers
the rims are 40mm. i talked to a guy and he said he can put adapters on all for tires for $200. should i get them?

I have 40mm offsets and I don't rub anything behind the rims? Do you have big brakes? What size tires do you have? Are they wider than 215? It shouldn't be since you have 18s. Is your car slammed to the ground? Do you have wide rims?
I don't think your rims are grinding anything. Unless you mean when you turn...

the size tires i got is 215/40/18. and its not the tire that is grindin its the rims its self. its hittin the caliper. just a little. i will post a pic of where it grinds at.
