Default STILL DYING

Okay I am about to give up and burn the car. As stated before my car is just dying for no apparent reason. We have changed the ASD relay and it is still dying.

I will be driving down the road everything is fine and then it just stops running, no warning no nothing. You wait any where from 20 to 30 minutes and it will start back up. It will usually die again withing a few miles. Any ideas before she becomes dust?

I am not sure where else to turn but the dealer and that is going to be big $$$

Hey man just a thought have you checked out the PCM like had it test for codes or anything. i know mine was dying too until i got a newer PCM it hasnt done it since.... I have even heard that the ground wires can be all gunked up with grime and dirt try cleaning them up and making sure they are all in good shape.. what about the crank postion sensor i am hearing that they are like a number one cause of your car acting stupid.. these are just thoughts but you never know one may fix it..

That issue sounds like the CPS, that Joe stated, creating your issue. I'm guessing from your s/n that you have a 2.5L. If so, your crank position sensor is located just below the distributor. It's not a difficult job, but if you don't have a Haynes/Chiltons manual already, get one.
Joe is right, the CPS is like any other electrical sensor that is subjected to the environment, it will break or give errors.

Can you check the crank pos sensor and the cam pos sensor with an Ohm meter and what should you be seeing. Mine is doing the same thing.

I believe both of the sensors need to be checked with an oscilliscope.
