no.. they arent.. i thought about that as well as if mabey teh mats were making the pedals stuck but there was no interference with the pedal at all
My brother has had this issue with his 1995 pontiac firebird in the past but he just took it to the shop and they fixed it for him... he said he forgot what the prob. was because it was a while ago.. so any more ideas on what would cause this

my car wuz doin the same thing. i would sit at a light and they would drop to 400rpms. what i did is i replaced the spark plugs and spark plug wires and it fixed the problem. but it could be something else because mine did not shoot up my rpms. i would change them anyway and see if this resolves your problem.

im having the same problem for example i was sitting at a stop sign and as i pressed the gas the rpms went up but the car didnt move until the rpms got to around 3000 then itjerked a lil bit and took off....question is how much would it cost to take to a shop and get looked at?

That sounds like a tranny issue. Does this only happen when the car has warmed up or has been driven around for awhile?
