Default Rust issue - Is anyone experiencing this problem?

Looks like it is occurring on mostly black Dodge Avengers.

It's NOT a rust issue but a clearcoat issue ...
The clearcoat gets pinholes water gets underneath and the white appears ...
There was a recall but I doubt the will do anything now ...

You are probably right. Because any time it rains, I don't see it. But when the weather is dry, it shows.

Do you have any recommendations on where I should take it to have it fix?

Any paint shop nearby would work...just remember that you get what you pay for. Paint is something you don't want to skimp on because the price may triple on you in a year or less.

Yeah sum dude was tellin me that sum car companies have 15 YEAR WARRANTIES on their paint. I find that way too good to be true but then again they prolly do cuz they figure ppl wouldn't keep that car that long or either wouldn't remember. Is it true? I just don't want to be that idiot that calls up Dodge asking.

Mine went at about 38,000 miles they did a goodwill gesture and offered me $300 on a dealer repaint at $4800 [:@]
No $$ if I took it to any other shop [:'(]

I would say at this time dodge is not going to do anything for you.. I have had my car painted once and it was a cheep job and now it is ready for a repaint allready.. but I kinda planed it that way I didn't have the money at the time for a good paint job so I went cheep and now im getting a custom paint job done.. Depending on your money situation I would highly recomend a re paint. If not your going to end up rusting through and having to start to replace body parts instead and then having the parts painted to match your car and then have your car painted to match the new painted part... so to save some money I would just have a paint job done. NOT BY A DEALERSHIP THOUGH!!! even if dodge did give you 300 dollers it would still be ALOT cheeper getting it done at a body shop!! dealerships are always more expencive.. Good luck
