my best friends older bro had a 98 avneger sport.. he sold it but not before he took the nice parts off
he says its a 3.5L V6
but the headers would swap to mine no problem

is that true?

 

Galants have the same 2.5l but no aftermarket support ...

there was never a 3.5L avenger made ... There was several attempted motor swaps 3.5 headers no way they'll fit ...

so he must be a little confused as to what size the engine was...
ill try to get a better idea of what headers they are
