It'll give more noise under the hood ... not much difference in the exhaust note

ok so im getting my intake in today and am a little confused.... it sems pretty easy to install but it says it will not come with the installation directions. and there are a few silver things to hold it in place (im guessing) now is there a certain place for these or are they even needed heres a pic of what im talking about.

the silver strapping is meant to support the far end some mount it to the black part where the stock box went to others bend it to mount on the battery plate

ok well i installed it yesterday and i can def. tell a diff in torque and sum horsepower. buti did have to make a few mods to sum things lol... first of all when i went to put it in the tube kept hitting the windshield washer reservoir. so basically i had to take a hammar to it to bend the plastic in a little bit and no prob. it fit in fine. but then another issue came up lol. now where the tube bends up by the throttle body it was too wide and it kept running into the battery so i had to take the battery completely out and and put it back on no prob. but then the battery wouldnt go back in lol. so basically i spent an hour just trying to figure out how to fit the battery back in the car lol so basically i tilted the battery sideways and it all fits in ok... it looks a little weird but it still works lol. but theres no brace holding the battery in hahaha. basically my intake tube is all thats holding it it. but its all pretty crammed in there so i dont think anything will move.
but hey im just glad it works. and it also makes the engine sound pretty bad ***

some people trim about 1/4 to 1/2" off the end where the intake conects to the TB to allow room for the battery hold down ...
