Damn it. I had the same problem! I had a clicking noise ging over the bumps. So I took it apart, and it was my lower rear control arm! I took it to the dealer they said that recall have been performed and that new style arms are in! So I am going to complain now! Thanks for the info guys!

Follow up....
I just called a customer service and they said that it only covers lateral control arms, not curved control arms! Is that true, or should I call them again?
P.S. by lower rear I mean curved control arm

Was toldjust the oppositething this morning when I was at the stealership. That it only covers thecurved ones not the straight. Also called the customer service number and the recall only states the 'lower lateral control arm ball joint'. It doesntdistinguish betweencurved or straight.

Should cover both, since the only difference i've noticed, was price! They are exactly the same. So I would think that it's both! The only difference is marking on arms themselves, one says A the other one says N! Go figure!

$68 for the left $62 for the right at AutoZone. But if I dont have to buy it and do the labor why should I?

But you need the curved one right? And yeah that one is like $140ish.

It only covers the straight arm ... Several have got the curved arm replaced due to straight arm failure ...
LOWER CONTROL ARMS ARE NOT THE SAME AS LOWER LATERAL ARMS......

LOWER CONTROL ARMS (they are curved arms) are NOT covered by the recall....

LOWER LATERAL ARMS AND ITS BALL JOINT (straight arm) IS covered by the recall.

Hey,
I have a weird knocking type of noise coming from the front passenger side. Everytime I break or step on gas, it disappears, but as soon as I let it roll I can hear it. Do you think it might be my control arm or something else? I had to replace driver side curved arm because of clicking, and I know they go bad almost at the same time! So i was wondering if I need to check and replace more than just a control arm!
