I have a 99' Venge 2.5L V6. Im looking to either drop in the 3.0L or bore out the 2.5L as well as put in the AWD and a manual tranny. i want all the work to be done at the same time but would the swap be worth it or to just bore out the existing engine.
Hmm... i really wanted to make these more of a question, sorry for the confusion. But the answers are what i was looking for anyway. What would the max that the engine could be bored out, and would it be even worth it?
Best bet it the 3.0 motor swap ... better engine , more HP more torque fat cheaper then the machine work to get a little more out of the 2.5 ... I thought 2.7 was about max but not positive
For the longest time I thought you bored over the 2.5L but you kept saying swap. Y did you keep the stock vlave covers. It looks like it says 2.5L V6 on your engine bay pic
Thanks for the replies. The no manual tranny bolt up is upsetting, does the 2.0L or the 420a have one? I dont mind the smaller engine but i enjoy driving a manual and im stuck with the automatic for now.
the I4 comes stock with either Manual or Standard transmissions. The 420A which is the same as the Eclispe 420A non-Turbo motor. You can easily swap ot the 420A for the 4g63T Ecispe Motor.
