do you think my amp could be bad? if it was bad wouldent nothing turn on?

 

you likely just lost the rear channels of the amp or the input from the rear channels of the head unit

 

so would a new amp fix this?

 

Possaibly need to see if it has INPUT from the head unit ... Input no Output It's the amp

 

input from the head unit? im not a real electric guy... please a little more in stupid terms for me.

 

on the previous post there is the listing for the wires .... jump a test speaker across the rear input wires ... if you have sound there and nothing out to the rear speakers the amps bad

 

and if it is working streight from the output, what do i do then? do i get a new amp, do i wire around it, what is the best fix? were can a get a amp that will work? what models will?

 

As mentioned before ... you can rewire it but it will screw withe the fader.. new amp will be large $$$ if one is even available ...
The infinity amp was only available from 95/00 venge/bring ...you can see if anyone is parting out a car or get a used one from the junkyard ...

 

so no other amp will work, i thougt you could re wire a a 4 channel to work. so to run past my amp, would have to run my tweeters off my front speakers? how would i do that? sorry if im asking alot of stupid questions, i really have no idea when it comes to electronics.

 

replacing the infinity amp is the easiest way ... you would have to completely rewire the cars speakers(I'm doubting you are up to it because it's already been explained)
