Ok...I am a little disapointed that i did not get a responce from anyone on how to check the voltage at the dist...but thats ok..I have been working on cars for well...lets just say prob..longer than most of you have been driving...but I do wanna say a lot of the info. on here has been very helpfull ..here is what we found..bad Cam sensor..installed new dist..and it started right up...figured while we had it apart ...should go a head with new plugs..valve cover gaskets and so on...I have included a couple of pics of my son and me working on the avenger project..Thanks again for your help.T

Sorry . But I travel for a living and didn't have the Chiltons manual with me ... So couldn't tell what wire 99% I knopw of the top of my head ... The CPS testing is stickied in the forum for a reason ...

Sorry did not mean for my post to come off the wrong way....but it was the cam sensor not the crank sensor CPS and i was not sure how to or what wires to use when checking for voltage at the dist...anyhow..it all turned out good..so i posted some pics because someone may need to reference the photos for themselves..shows the dist area and the cps right below it...hope i did not offend anyone..If I did I am sorry
