Acceleration Stall
So, sorry if this has been covered in another thread and I didn't see it but, ny dad has a 98 (I beleive) Avenger. He's had it for a few years and he, as well as I, have noticed that when you stand on the throttle, there is a stall before the car really takes off. I wasn't sure if if this is a tranny issue, or something with the computer. Does anyone know a way to eliminate this stall? I'm wanting instant throttle response, or at least a lot closer than what it has.
One of my venges has been doing this. It's getting worse, but we are pretty sure we have it narrowed down to a problem in the fuel injection system somewhere. I'll update and let y'all know what we find.

Im having the same problem with a different car. I stand on it the rpms go up quick but stop at 4 grand and I get no pull. I replaced the bank 2 catatlic converter because it threw a cat code, the fuel pump and filter, did a trans flush and gasket. Old fluid was still aight, replaced the spark plugs not spark plugwires did have the money (tires). When I ease into the gas peddle car it goes fine had 2 techs at work look at it a lil its gonna cost me for DIG time there theory made sense: Fuel pump is weak and not building up enough pressure (replaced fuelpump, and filter) now Im guessing MAF but wouldn't that throw all kinda codes?
