Default Car Revs Itself

Hey guys,
I had a couple of questions about my avenger. When i am driving down the road the rpm's on the car are fine but when i come to a stop its like the rpm's rev up and down by themself, like say from 1000 rpm to 1400 rmp, and after a few seconds of this it evens out...???!!!! What could be going on here....ive heard many things ...iac...manifold leak...o2 sensors...? Also, can i take it to say an autozone and have them check the computer to see what is wrong? Finally, if any of you have any estimates on how much each of the parts in question would cost...i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks Again..

I'd go buy a bottle of Seafoam and clean the intake ... It might just be a dirty IAC

Here https://dodgeforum.com/m_655972/tm.htm

I think you suck 3/4 up into your intake and the rest go in your gas tank. Then you have to change you oil after a couple hundred miles to get all that out.

Try bad venge's cleaning first just to see what happens (cheaper too), but I had the exact same problem so my money is on a blown intake gasket.

Hope that helps!
