Default Tranny help again....

so its almost 2 am when this happened. Drivin down the road and im accelerating and i feel a shudder on the left wheel. I decelerate to go around a turn the acelerate to go up a hill over a bridge and low and behold limp mode. Then i stopped put the car in neutral and then in drive again. Didnt go into drive the first time but did the second. will go from drive to reverse to drive fine but stuck in limp. Think they didnt rebuild the tranny right?

I don't think its the speed sensor. The speed sensor defaults you to 2nd gear. I had a speed sensor go out 2 years ago and it would go into reverse and drive up to 4th gear but once you went back to 2nd after deccellerating it stays there. If limp mode is 2nd gear then its a speed sensor. It will only reset and let you go into first or past 2nd when you resart the car. My speedometer still worked just I didn't go more than 30mph at 4000rpm until I replaced it.

thats true. I checkes the fluids and everything was alright so i took a little trip. It shifted all the way into over drive, back down to first, and into overdrive again so i dont think its a sensor. I did this a few times under different acceleration to maake sure it wasn't only doing it under hard acceleration or soft acceleration or whatever. It seems like my car was just having a fit last night for some reason. Strange...

There are TWO speed sensors input and output speed sensor ...
The input will put it in limp mode , the output will cause the speedo to stop working

Took it to the shop and they say there isnt even a code in memory from the incident. They say my bushing for my struts need replaced though. Is there a guide on how to do that in the DIY section???
