Idler Pully Issue
My 97 avenger was eating (P/S) serpentine belts, so I took a look at all my pulleys to make sure the bearings were not bad. I found that my idler pulley's bearing was wobbling. So I went to Autozone and got a new one, but unfortunately it did not fit. So I tried Advance Auto Parts. They gave me the same one that Autozone did. Anyone know where I can buy one that will fit?
Thanks.
Thanks.
It is easier to just get a new bearing and press it in. Atleast that's what I did with my 95 avenger. I have the bearing number and a place you can get the bearing for like 35 bux somewhere and the bearing I got works great. Ill go home and see if I can find the info for you
seems the box with the receipt got thrown away so i will have to find the old bearing if it wasn't thrown out when my brother cleaned. hopefully not because i think it is a little more reasonable to the 90+ dollars the dealers want for the parts.

just ran into the same dang thing. if you get your car pulled up they reference 38042 as the part number (gates and acdelco) but that definitely is not it.
blkvet95 i will have to try the ones you listed.
::EDIT:: Nope, same part @ the four seasons and dayco numbers
