Question How to remove black specs on 2.5L intake manifold?
Here are some pictures:




how can i get rid of these specs without taking it off? i used a scotchbrite pad with bar keepers friend already.

It's hard to see ... Do you think it's TAR ??? I'd try a solvent (laquer thinner) ect

I also try a brass wire brush on a drill

well i scrubbed it with a scotch brite pretty hard. i dont know what it could be.

i used mineral spirits and a scotchbrite. it didint work too well. then i started sanding it with 400 grit. it works, but it is alot of work. is there an eaiser way?

If i'm not mistaken i used throttle body cleaner on mine to clean it up while i had it off, did pretty well on bringing it back to quality.
