I checked the ASD relay. 12V power constant , Turn on key 12V power, 12v power feed and the ground. I think its good. Went to autozone and used there autoscanner. There is 0 codes. I guess the computer is working.

So what shoud I check ? Or what controls the timing ? I just removed the power steering pump and the belt covers. The belt is good and the 3 timing marks line up. And I have tested the crankshaft sensor. Any suggestions.

Timing can be adjusted by the computer preset from the factory there was an Icon unit by superchips that allowed further adjustments

Angry no spark again....

I have a 98 Dodge Avenger 2.5 V6. having the same problems that I have read on here with other owners. ( NO SPARK ) from the distibutor ! had this problem a yr ago and found it to be the cam sensor, of which is built into the distributor, so replaced the whole high dollar distributor. problem solved. but now a yr and a half later the same condition happens ! car wont start and no spark coming from distributor. I was reading bout the ASD and Fuel relays, and the car has the problem that was said bout these relays- meaning stalling out while driving. going to chk on these relays to see if working properly. but any help would be greatly appreciated, thanx

Default no spark again....

I tested all 3 relays and they were working fine, tested crank sensor and was working fine. so replaced the distributor once again and away it went, wth !! this makes 2 distributors in less than 2 yrs. now that my car has gone thro. why it keeps eating up the distributors is beyond me !
