Upgrade firmware 41TE from model year -96 to -99?

Default Upgrade firmware 41TE from model year -96 to -99?
Hi!

I currently have a Dodge Avenger 2.5 V5 and ofcourse with the 41TE automatic, -96.

I was just wondering if it is possible to upgrade the firmware on the automatic transmission, cause I believe the model year of -96 holds the -95 transmission or something?

How would I do this upgrade, what tools do I need? And also, is it possible to download the software from Internet?

I sure cant do it at the dealership cause there arent any "good" here, they have no idea "they said".

Is this impossible to do by yourself?

First off you have an A604 tranny...
The 95/96 are DIFFERENT and use different sensors and Tranny Control Modules
So NO you can't just change them and upgrade the firmware

Hi!

Im sorry, I do have the -96 transmission, and was wondering if there are any news to the -99 model year?

What is the purpose of upgrading firmware in a car's transmission?
