Default 1997 Dodge P1494 and tachometer upto 2000 when starting

I have 1997 Dodge Avenger.

Recently the "check engine" showed up, i went to service, they got me the P1494 and switched off that light.

They told me that, if it comes back again, then bring car again to us and we will look, is it LDP switch or mechanical fault.

Now after few weeks the light turned on again.

But i also noticed that when i start the cold engine, then the tachometer shows almost 2000 RPMs and then goes down. Of course i hear how engine goes up and down when starting.
I don't know if it does same with warm engine.

Is this normal or not? It's got something to do with LDP?
I also have read in some forums that even bad (old) fuel hoses under the car could light up this little lamp.

So in general: should i be very worried about that all?

Thanks for any help and information.

Definition :

Evap Leak Detection pump pressure switch condition

Explination:

ECM detected the leak detection pump switch did not change after the solenoid was energized

Probably Causes:

1. Leak detection pump defective
2. open or shorted circuit condion
3. solenoid defective

Can this be reason for increased fuel consumption?
I think my car drinks the fuel too much.

doubtful it's normally a bad O2 sensor that causes that

Where is it located?
I said, that i don't have any ebook about Dodge..
Only that crappy AllData.

I have an car mechanic that could replace all bad parts but i need to know what and how they look like, where are they located etc.

I will give him the parts and he will do the job. He knows my car anyway already. It's my ex GF car. Her boyfriend works at car repair.

What about the 2000 RPM when starting engine?
Is it normal? It goes up to 2000 when starting engine and then goes down to normal.

I didn't notice when it started, if i remember correctly it was always like that, but im not sure.

So any help with that is also very welcome.

You don't state what motor as there are 2 available theO2 sensors are in the exhaust manifolds the v6 has 4 , 2 before the cat and 2 after cat

Mine goes to 1800 and then idles back to 1000 when it gets warm

The Check Engine just switched off.
I didn't notice when.

What it means?

Let's assume the lamp didn't die. But it just switched off?
Can this be possible?

The da*n cold winter is screwing my car.
Another problem.

When i start my car, it's ok, but then the rpm goes below 1000 and it feels like whole car is shaking.
Then it goes back to 900-1000 something. Dunno what the hell it is.

It started when i drove over snow and got stuck, i couldn't get away anymore. I had to dig out my engine to get away. The whole engine at lower part was in a pretty hard snow, almost like ice. Including the front wheels

Maybe i break some cables or sensor there, dunno.

Any ideas what should i check?

Sorry for my bad english.
