Ok.... Not taking anything away from you "BV" you have help me many times, but im not sure of wrote that thread but its not Avenger related. The first page clearly states that a spring compression tool is not needed. Well im here to say that it is. The first one about took my son head off... the second went well .. went to Auto Zone and rented a spring compression tool.

 

that is a mitsubishi thread and I've pulled them off without spring compressors all the time.
I stand on the spring and let the top release
