Need help on verifying, if i have correct part
I have Dodge Avenger, 1997. 2.0 base, with AC.
I need new tension pulley. The small one that works with AC.
I uploaded a pic i made from factory manual.
The red circle shows the pulley.
http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/8526/pulleyschm.png
It makes terrible sound when cold and most important, it moves around, when i drag it from side by side. It has a lot of play.
So i wanted to ask you guys, who know such things, if i have chosen the correct part category:
http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,ca...,parttype,6956
And which one i should prefer?
TIA.

If it were me , I'd order 12 instead. The tensioner assembly as the car likely has lots of miles and the bolt that holds the tensioner pulley could be damaged and it's a propriatary bolt you ca't get at the hardware store, also when you say it has play the play could be the tensioner base being bad

So you mean pulley that costs 12 EUR's or more?
If bolt is bad how to replace it then? If it's not available. And doesn't come with new pulley.
I don't want to remove that pulley just to see how the bolt looks like.
"Tensioner base", which part is that on my image or where is it located?
What number on image.
6 ?

There is a reason I said I'd order 12 ....
number 12 on your diagram ...
Most of the pulleys have bearing failures (causing the movement/wobbles) This normally scars up the bolt pretty fast.
The bolts a reverse thread (lefty Tighty righty loosey) Shoulder bolt That I have been unable to source from ANY bolt house ...
Last I TRIED to order from the dealer it was No Longer Available , I Did get one from the Mitsubishi Dealer but others I have sent there are saying that it's NLA as well

What is NLA?
Also where to get the whole assembly?
Is it possible to get it from eBay?
I have never seen that in RockAuto.
It would be good to have new or better one.
Because nr 6 on my diagram has piece of metal gone from there, that holds nr 5 in place.
The regulating bolt is still in there but at it's head the nr 6 lost a piece.
I will try to make pic.
Can you show exactly how the bolt (nr 2, shaft) looks like?
Something like this?

or this

or

or

Or is the reverse thread only thing that makes it different from other usual bolts?
What do you think, if temporarily remove the bolt, to take a pic of it and measure the diameter etc, will this screw things more up?

I looked into this thing again and it's not actually broken. I said earlier that piece of metal is gone from part 6.
Actually it's not, i took a closer look and it's fine.It should be like this. Like in my diagram.
But anyway, when i have free time, i will get the bolt out of there and measure it, take a pic of it etc and will put it back.
We have one shop here, that is completely about bolts, nuts, etc.
I will ask them. Maybe they have something.
