thats what i used. ofcourse it's specific to my radar detector.installation was simple.

the $30 one is deemed a "smart cord". also has the mute button on it but i don't have a use for it so i didn't get it.

I prefer to make my own
It's really just two wires, a fuse holder (and fuse of course), and I solder all my connections, so I don't use the positive connection, but I do use one for the ground wire. $8 the most

Buy a wireless radar detector. It uses batteries. That's the easiest way to do it. They only run about 150 to 200 dollars. If you really need one, it's worth it.
