Going metallic black clearcoat for the following reasons:
Orange while being cool and all (and my personal favorite), will attract too much attention with the POPO, and possibly garner phrases like "pumpkin".
Metallic green is unfortunately a non-typical mopar color, otherwise I would reconsider.
The metallic black will allow a stockish appearance to regular people, but the enthusiast would notice the shiny flakes. I agree that flakes should be small and not scream out "look at me". The hood area will be satin black from each fender midline, and cover the cowl. One side stripe to follow the break below the windows. Shaker hood (later) will match the metallic paint. Thanks guys.

Well, I know my dream Dakota would be orange with all black accents (bumpers, trim pieces, etc...) with the Ram logo on the hood in black. Orange gives it a unique look, especially on a Dakota. However, as it was stated earlier, das po po can pick you out.
Black is a safe bet, and it will still look sharp. I suppose it just depends on what you want - something that turns heads everywhere you go, or something that's a bit more subtle and appeals to enthusiasts?

Just an update.
I have decided on Chrysler PXR, which is Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl. Which can be seen on the newer models, like the Charger, Challenger, 300, etc. Tomorrow, the painter will trailer it up to start the sanddown. So, by the end of the week, my truck will no longer look as ghetto (snif, snif) as it does today and I will not be able to post in the peeling paint thread any longer.
EDIT: Pre paint pictures
