Need input for painting. Please note that the convertible top will be black sailcloth. I am tempted to paint the hood and top of the fenders a satin-ish black for contrast. This would be similar to the Plymouth Duster dual scoop option as far as paint.

You know what else would look really hot, Either a Mustang Yellow w/black pin striping or the Dodge Detonator Yellow w/ black pin striping.
I have been dreaming of painting my 95 in that Detonator Yellow with a custom black interior. I just hope the engine holds out til I can get started on it.

I admire blue paint (especially electron blue, but do not care to drive one (clashes with my features). My motivation is: retro styling, hence the orange, but black would be the cheapest and most original. I like green paints, but am sensitive to the different hues. Ford has a few greens I like, as does Chevy. GoLime is out. Enter the Yellows, The Dodge yellow is a better tone than the Ford (Also, Ford used two different yellows in the Mustang line, the earlier being a push toward the Canary Yellow of the 70's, the later being a more modern one). Again, I like yellow, but do not want to portray "let's race".
The modern black metalllics that can be seen on the Charger is a nice subtle black, or even the Charcoal. I know that orange is not a popular color, but finding the right orange (mandarine, neon, Hemi like my engine block) has been eluding. Thanks, any other ideas are welcome at this point.

Going metallic black clearcoat for the following reasons:
Orange while being cool and all (and my personal favorite), will attract too much attention with the POPO, and possibly garner phrases like "pumpkin".
Metallic green is unfortunately a non-typical mopar color, otherwise I would reconsider.
The metallic black will allow a stockish appearance to regular people, but the enthusiast would notice the shiny flakes. I agree that flakes should be small and not scream out "look at me". The hood area will be satin black from each fender midline, and cover the cowl. One side stripe to follow the break below the windows. Shaker hood (later) will match the metallic paint. Thanks guys.
