What did you do to/with your truck today?
@Rabid21, if you can spare the cash, i would definitely recommend picking up a new set of headlight housings off ebay. even after buffing my old ones out a few times, there was still no comparison between my old ones and the new ones i got.
And today I installed a set of Hella Driving lights. I've got them wired directly to the battery so they aren't working at full potential I believe. I'm gonna wire them properly tomorrow when I get some more parts for the job. But even in the "Foglamp" mode they seem to work pretty darn good. Apparently if I wire them instead of pulling power to my battery but instead my highbeam wiring they'll be alot brighter. Or so the instructions said haha.
Heres a photo of my Dak's front end with the lights.

Wiring them to the high beam switch will only allow them to be on when your high beams are on. I highly suggest running a seperate switch with relay. They will not be brighter linked in to the high beam switch. Direct to the battery is the best. Here is a diagram (All my lights are wired this way.)

Yesterday I headed out to my local U-Pull it. I needed a door lock latch mechanism. Since I was there I found a great HD antenna to replace my wimpy CB antenna. As well as some cargo tie downs from a 2nd gen Dakota. I installed them in the rear similar to where they were from factory on 2nd gens. I installed a 2nd set on the bed bar/roll bar.
Rear of bed, notice the 12v power outlet.

Front of bed mounted on the bed bar.

New CB antenna.

I will do anything I can to avoid buying headlight housings :P At some point in my trucks life someone hit the bumper at just the right angle to give it a tiny dent but angle it so the grill mounting screws just above it were not accessable. Last time I took my grill off I scratched the living hell out of my chrome and then my rockguard which was still relatively soft and fresh.
Plus my headlight buff came out pretty damn good. But I consider myself a professional detailer so I went ***** out with the fine grit sandpaper and buffing compounds on my headlights. Although theres only so far you can go with sandpaper and buffing so if I keep doing this every few years I will eventually have to get new headlights. But I'll put that off if I can.
Thanks for the advice though.
What brand is it?
A good 8 years ago I got a Smittybilt, I've put it to the test all the time. Love it.
I like the bumper lights, I've been thinking of doing something like that. I just might steal it. I think Napa has some like that. Where did you get yours?

Bumper lights were a cheap set from Ebay. $15 dollars and I got the grommets and wiring with them to so I figured I can upgrade the lights later if I want. But please do steal it they are very nice!
