can any one tell me what the np242 transfer case comes in (year, model jeep) how to identify it and if the auto transmission its attached to will bolt up to my 3.9 Magnum?

87-2001 jeep cherokee XJ some came with a np242 attached to an AW4 auto
Don't know if you can bolt that one to a 3.9

The 93 - 98 grand cherokee came with chrysler transmissions that might bolt up to your 3.9 some came with np242's

The 99 - 04 wj some come with the np242
