Default New to Me Dakota

Hey guys.
I am back on this forum after several moons away. I used to have a 2nd gen Ram and frequented that section.

Yesterday I traded an old dirt bike for a 1993 Dodge Dakota.
I like this truck, and already have plans to fix it up. It doesn't need much, though.

Info:
1993 Dodge Dakota
Single cab, 6ft bed
3.9L V6, 5 speed manual, 2WD
LE trim
A/C and heat work
8.25" rear end with 3.21 ratio, non LSD (The FAQ thread says the 3.21 ratio is rare. Why?)
22 gallon gas tank

Mechanical repairs needed:
Rear brake overhaul
Power steering rack
Ball joints

Minor/Cosmetic things (shortlist):
Fuel gauge
Temp gauge
Non matching door panel
Headliner & visors
Windshield
Tail light
Cruise control buttons
Radio & speakers
Spare tire, tire winch, jack & tools

Today I have already done:
Removed buzzer
Cleaned bed
Oil change
Fluid top off
Clean/Degrease power steering rack and K member
Detail interior
Remove faded and bubbled tint

Here is a link to my Photobucket album.

All of the pictures were before I did anything to the truck.
There is a video as well.

Question
The rear axle has blocks between the axle and leaf springs that do not appear stock.
Are these aftermarket? And if so, does their placement lower the truck?
I like the current right height.

Is the first gen Dakota forum dead?

Understandable, but a little disappointing.

If anyone is alive, are there any other known wiper arms that fit our trucks? My wiper blades are loose and flop around on the pins. I'd like to change to J-hook arms if possible.
I searched and found a lot of useful information on rebuilding the linkage but nothing about arm interchange.

Hey, it looks like it's dead. I own a 90 Dakota 2.5 4x2 single cab and a 92 5.2l 4x4 let club cab. Owned the 92 for only a month but there's not much info.

I agree a J hook would be a great improvement, but I found that a set of newer arms/blades snap together a lot better. Not sure sure if the spline size is shared with another vehicle or not, but would be interested to know. If you find some, please post back.

Not alot in the general discussion section. Post in the main 1st gen dakota section and there is more traffic.
