Found a truck with even less aftermarket support than a first gen Dak!
Sorry this is off topic but this forum gets so little traffic I hope it's okay. I found a Mazda B2600i (not the one in the picture, but exact same), 2wd, 5 speed. 90,000 original miles and taken care of very well. Not a show car, body dings here and there and chipped paint, but very little rust and everything is super clean for a salt belt truck. Engine runs amazing. But looking online I have found VERY little information about this truck. It is an actual Mazda-made Mazda with no Ranger influence, which for finding parts is not a great thing.
I don't really have any desire to get rid of my Dakota and I'm not gonna have two trucks atm but I was thinking of surprising my dad with this. I think he'd like it as a run-around truck, seeing as his Silverado has seen much better days. I wish it was 4wd but realistically he would never need it as he's got a Subaru for winter driving and I would urge him to not drive it in the winter anyway for preservation purposes. It's been taken care of this long, I want to keep it that way.

Tbugden,
Do you remember the Mazda rotary trucks? http://www.trucktrend.com/features/1...engine-pickup/
Back around 1979-80 I drove one of those. At that time, that thing felt like a rocket!! 7000 rpm motors were just unheard of!!

Indeed. He bought me my first car and now I have the means to return the favor (albeit not a very expensive one).
